As a guy who spent many, many years working in bookstores typing ISBNs into cash registers and INGRAM databases, let me just say that this? To me?

MY BOOK’S GOT AN ISBN, YO. An International Standard Book Number!

Oh, and it’s also available for pre-order at Amazon and elsewhere.

And the official publication date is April 9, 2013.

And it’s 368 pages.

And it costs $25.95.

All things I just found out that I should probably mention BUT ANYWAY ISBN WOOOOO!

And yes, I get how sad it is to fetishize a string of thirteen digits (which used to be ten digits, back in my day, when the world was new and icthyosaurs swam the dark, turbid seas) that represents a unique numeric commercial book identifier based on a 9-digit code created in 1965 by a professor of statistics at Trinity College.

And yet here we are.

PS: According to the site, my book’s just 405,049 titles away from being AMAZON’S #1 TOP SELLER! If we assume that like 405,041 of those are Twilight-related, I’M IN AMAZON’S (non-twilight) TOP 10 WOOOOO WE DID IT YOU GUYS.

ISBN 10 > ISBN 13, but neither is greater than this news. I can’t wait to order this book from my Local Independent Bookstore!

Can you write one on Batgirl/Oracle next, Glen? I need to be waaaaay more informed about her to justify how many drawings of her I already own.
